(Chicago, IL) FEB. 25, 2010 – NFL Chicago Bears’ Lance Briggs is hosting “A Reason to Dream” fundraiser for his nonprofit organization Briggs4Kidz on April 12th, 2010.

The event will be held at Lumen in Chicago in an effort to introduce Briggs4kidz to the Chicago area. Attendees include Copeland Bryan with the Detroit Lions, Tim Shaw and other fellow Chicago Bears players and community VIPs, who will be coming to support the cause as well as Briggs.

“All funding for Briggs4Kidz events is provided through direct contributions from myself, individuals corporate contribution and special fundraising events,” says Briggs. “‘A Reason to Dream’ is a way that we can make a change in our community and give kids a reason to dream.”

Briggs4Kidz (www.briggs4kidz.com) focuses on raising funds and providing guidance during hard economic times for today’s poverty stricken youth.

The foundation has participated in countless fundraisers since its 2006 launch such as taking 100 children from the Chicago land area on extensive holiday shopping sprees. The organization also expanded their philanthropic endeavors to Lance’s hometown of Sacramento, CA and Phoenix, AZ.

“A Reason to Dream” will be featuring a silent auction, food, music and other fun entertainment throughout the evening.
